Whoohoo! It's Time to Get Ready For Hallowbaloo!

Come one come all,
We'll have a ball!
Enchanting creations
To delight your imagination!
I received an exciting invitation to debut at Seattle's first Hallowbaloo show this September! Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming! Funny how retiring from working as an art teacher has given me the opportunity to say YES, to participate in a new show. I will be rubbing shoulders with some of the best Halloween folk artists, which is thrilling! More information to come as I gather my wits about me and get down to business.

Transformation of gourd into.... WIP

From plain Jane, to fabulous....lol! Okay, who remembers that commercial? Was it Maybelline or some other cosmetic company? Anyhew, still heading towards finishing this perhaps for tomorrows listing on ebay. Debating that one as I want to test the market at Alpenfest as well.
I will have finished photos soon, but for now I must get ready to run some errands. Today nature guy requested pizza, so because I love my hard working man, pizza he will get. As for santa production, that's a slow run, but I am working on that as well and hope to have more photos of them as well. Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again soon.

Hagatha Witchley

August has arrived with an outlook for back to school and fun holiday times just around the corner. Soooo, I pulled out my gourd collection, which is growing by leaps and bounds, and found this lovely lady just waiting to be brought to life. A gourdeous pumpkin witch isn't she?
Hagatha has made her debut on ebay this week, so scurry on over and learn more about her and how you might be able to have her keep you company this Halloween. You can find her here:  Hagatha Witchley

Gourdie or Gourdelia, the gourds are taking over ebay!

I actually got some pieces done while working at the Utah State Fair last week. I had such fun meeting so many nice people, and the best part is, they asked me to come back! I may have some classes to teach as well as a nice bonus to this.
Gourdie the Party Guy above, is ready to join you in your Halloween festivities. And Gourdelia is making a return visit, looking to find the best haunted house to dwell in. Perhaps someone can help these two out. For a little more info, stop by my ebay Happy Monday everyone! May you have a most creative week.

Celebrate365 was in my mail box...looky what can be found....

How exciting is this?! I feel like I'm back watching Romper Room where I see Robert and Susan and Scott and Sylvia, oh look there's Sheila and Joe and Jorge and Becca! We mustn't forget Iva, and Phillane and Joanne, and Sue, or Laura and Stephanie, and my goodness I see me! How fun to see my work amongst all these talented artists pieces! Thank you Connie for the wonderful layout. Great issue this one, as all of them are, but this one is super spectacular. For anyone who hasn't ordered one, please be sure and contact Connie at Celebrate365 . For anyone interested in my pieces, you can find the owl and moon painting at my etsy shop, and Gourdelia the witch, to the far left, at American Holiday Artists Studios Marketplace. Both links are to the right of this post. Thanks as always, for stopping by and saying hi! I love hearing from you.

Wickedly cool gourd hag and black cat

Hee, hee, she's a looker isn't she?! Such a hag as this has never been seen.
A gourdeous little witchy,
with her broom and shawl,
ready to haunt the night...
come on, now don't you bawl!

If you see her taking flight,
don't just stand and stare...
cause if you're caught outside?
You had better beware!

This handsome black kitty is feeling meowvelousy good! From his paper mache hat, to the box on which he stands. Both the witch and this cat are gourd creations, with details made from air dry clay. All hand painted and detailed with vintage lace, real wool curls and antique buttons, Gourdelia, is ready to haunt a new home. Mac the cat is a make-do with a gourd head, wood spindle, and paper mache box stand.
