Making Progress on WIP's for Hallowbaloo..
Finally! Wow, the internet connection here is incredibly slow! So, here's a few of my pieces for Hallowbaloo. I do commissions, and take all type of payment....lol. Seriously though, I am slowly building my inventory for the big event. Can't wait to meet all my contemporaries, and rub shoulders with some of the best creators in Halloween folk art. Oh, an FYI, these are all gourds except for the little fella in front of the guy with his hands holding his mouth wide. He will have a wire, as he is a candy cup.

Hagatha Witchley
August has arrived with an outlook for back to school and fun holiday times just around the corner. Soooo, I pulled out my gourd collection, which is growing by leaps and bounds, and found this lovely lady just waiting to be brought to life. A gourdeous pumpkin witch isn't she?
Hagatha has made her debut on ebay this week, so scurry on over and learn more about her and how you might be able to have her keep you company this Halloween. You can find her here: Hagatha Witchley

Large Gourd WIP continues She has hair!
I finally got to the first layer of her hair yesterday and then had her baking in the warm car for most of the day. I added more bulk to her hair and have now stuck her head in the oven to dry. That can be a tricky thing, as she is very large, but it's working.
I'm still thinking she needs a tad more height to her hair to give her a balanced look. What do you think? I need to finish the sculpting and get her drying today as I have two days to sand and paint her. What do you think so far?

Just so heads don't roll....
I often use rice in a tub to help steady what I'm working on, or for a place to put things to dry. I had so many little snowman heads though that I had to resort to a pizza pan to keep the little darlings from rolling over and crushing their hats. What do you use?
Here's a sneak peek at some WIPs I'm finishing up as well. The big show set up is Tuesday, eeek! I'd better get back to work!

BWAAA-HAAA-HAAAA........
He he....... Angus is ready, along with his little friend, to surprise you on Halloween night.....so stop on by and grab a hand full of candy..... if you dare..... happy trick or treating...... you can find Angus on ebay right now by clicking on the title to this post. A big thanks goes out to Linda of Gourdqueen originals who got me into sculpting on gourds. She has been a big influence in what I create and invited me to be a part of AHQU. AHQU is a group of Halloween artists on ebay and they are quite a talented gathering of folks.
Well....off to Facebook to see who's lurking around....
