Bunnikins Hopped on Over to Ebay...

A little like a Weebles that Wobble, although she doesn't, Bunnikins is excited for Spring and Easter. I think we all are this year, with all the snow, ice and storms that have tackled our country, a spot of bright color does a heart good. You can find Bunnikins on Ebay.

Hearts and Flowers

A little Valentine Funny for the ageless...
I've sent texts.
And I've called.
But you just don't
comprehend.
I want you to be my Valentine,
And, not just a
Facebook Friend.

Would love to see a graphic for this one. Isn't the internet fun?! You can find all sorts of things to amuse you. Or read, or cry over or even buy. The little painting above is available at :  MothersDreamRtworks

A bunny so sweet,
not of chocolate a treat...
but an Easter delight.

Bunnikins is tiny,
pastel soft, not too shiny.
An adorable sight.

Bunnikins is available as well and you can find Bunnikins at: MothersDreamRtworks

Bernice Bunny on American Holiday Artist's Studios & Marketplace

Bernice Bunny has gathered her colored eggs and a sweet little chick to get ready for Easter.

She wants to get ready for the Easter parade, Shhhh, don't tell her it's a bit later this year!
Doesn't Bernice look lovely though, in her sweet homespun dress and sparkly little hat?
Bernice had me use the best trims and ribbons to dress up her outfit. As I was sculpting her she made sure I gave her big beautiful eyes, and nice bunny ears so that the big boy bunnies would be sure to be smitten. Bernice has made her debut at our American Holiday Artist's Studios & Marketplace for this coming month. Easter is already hopping at our marketplace so pop on over and enjoy!

Ruffles Easter Bunny is hopping over to etsy!

I have so much fun creating these little Easter babies! An egg shape is perfect for all sorts of Easter baby delights, so there will be more to follow.
With the advent or hope of warmer weather, which we will have a taste of this weekend (yippee!), sometimes we have to deal with the rain or muck or melting snow and slush so decorating for Easter is a great way to brighten up your home. I like to bring Spring indoors early by spreading a little color through out ours with my hand crafted Easter goodies. This year I'm hoping to have a feather tree in pastel Easter colors, and I can just imagine how one of these little fellas would look underneath it. In the mean time, I'm offering some one of a kind creations in my etsy shop for you to enjoy as well. :-)

Teenie Tiny Topsy Bunny WIP

I'm trying to make a mad dash in to share one of my latest WIP's. We shall see if blogger cooperates. :-) This roly poly little bunny is about 4" tall. I have a little chicklet that's waiting for it's ruffle but I will wait until the twins are down for a nap again. I'm even thinking of a little kitty in this style. These are so much fun to make that I may end up using all my egg shapes to create more, perhaps a puppy as well? I'll keep you posted. What are you working on right now?

Sneak Preview of the Spring Celebrate365 Issue!

Here is the Spring issue of Celebrate365 that I designed the cover for. To give credit where due, the graphic artist at the printer changed the ribbon color and put a backround of grass in the stamp frames, but other than that, the design was my concept.
I was tickled to be able to be a part of putting this together. Thanks Connie, for the opportunity! There are at least 3 of our very own American Holiday Artists featured on the cover, Lori Rudolph or Retro Rudolphs, Carrie Murtha of Snippets Pets, Johanna Parker of Johanna Parker Design and David Everett of Chicken Lips Studios. You can find their links in my blog roll to see more of their fabulous work. I also have 2 pieces in the Easter portion of the publication. If you are interested in subscribing to this publication click on the Celebrate365 banner to the right to go directly to her site. There is a lot of eye candy in each issue, as well as informative articles for the ornament collector. You can find the contact info if you are interested in any of the featured ornaments as well. Here's to Spring and Celebrate365!

What do Easter Bunnies and Santas have in common?

They are holiday art of course! I am in the process of creating several Santas for Reasons to Believe and so I will share as I get each one done. As a member of American Holiday Artists I spend a lot of time creating holiday art. The cute Easter Bunny trinket box is listed on ebay right now so check him out for more information.

Bunnies and Ravens and Signs and Things....

It's a sign of the times.... literally. Easter is fast approaching and this sign is ready to display anywhere you would like to add a touch of Spring. Inspired by Victorian ephemera, this one of a kind original will be a great center piece for your Easter decor.

Buddy Bunny Pull Toy is a little egg gourd creation I put together using air dry clay. It's a two part creation with a little pull cart sculpted from clay. Buddy's friend Charlie Chick Pull Toy will be featured in Celebrate365 Spring issue.

Last but not least, I've decided to let the original pastel of this painting above to go. You will find all these pieces on ebay so visit my link to the right.

Roosevelt, the Dutch Chocolate Bunny

Can't seem to stay away from the computer today. I've been working on some graphic design work including updating my blog page, added this bunny to my website, and added some things to my etsy shop. I created this bunny for submission to Celebrate 365, a premier ornament collectors magazine and he was featured! Love the professional quality of the magazine and several of our AHA members also had pieces featured. You can learn more about them by clicking on the banner to the left.

Melissa of Wings and Paws Whimsies is a recent addition to AHA and we are proud to have her join us! American Holiday Artists are some of the best, okay we are the best of the best on ebay and etsy! When you see the line up of artists we have in our wonderful organization you will surely have to agree.... now scurry on over, get your name in for the give away and then stop by our AHA blog .

Recognize this anyone? 101st post give away answer and winner.....

Here's a look at the finished creation. Thanks so much to everyone for stopping by and taking the time to play! It was fun to see the questions and questions given, and I learned a bit from this on putting a give away together. We had two folks who got the answer correct, so to make it fair we did a drawing and the winner is......drum roll please............David of Chicken Lips Studios! A big thanks again to all who stopped by, and for those who have come by for the first time or are somewhat new, please take some time to visit the artists blogs listed on my blog. You will find the best of the best in Folk Art, Primitives, Whimsy, and get to meet some very nice folks in the process. Happy April 1st everyone!

101st Blog Post Give away.....

I've noticed that a lot of my blogging friends like to do a give away for their 100th post, but we are going to try something different so I'm doing the 101th post give away. The cute little bunny ornament you see could be yours if you are the one who can guess or get fairly close to what the start of this creation in the photo to the left is going to be. I will run this give away until April 1st, so you have five days to think about it and get your post in. As an added bit of fun, we can play 20 questions so you can try and get clues out of me. You may post as many times as you want, but hold on to that guess until you think you are sure what it is.
So put those thinking caps on, start asking questions and let's have fun!

Taa Daa!

Here he is! I was holding my breath all the way with this one, as I have ideas that don't always come to fruition but this little guy sure did.
I sure hope you like him!

Get a sneak peek......

Hee hee...... can't show you the whole creation yet.....he's in the final stages.....but, he's dressed, and looking quite dapper if I do say so myself. He's having an issue with his time piece, so we are waiting for that to get repaired, and then he will be ready to be on his way.......
This little bunny is another of my Go Green Challenge pieces. He was sculpted over a pimiento jar, so he is glass on the inside and clay on the outside. He would be a perfect jelly bean cup, or paper clip holder...or...well you decide. These will be up for auction on ebay starting Monday afternoon and ending Saturday the 28th. Check back for more photos......
